US Asks India to not to Support Venezuela


Mike Pompeo, the United States Secretary of State, has met Indian Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale and asked not to become economic lifeline for Venezuela. He has also expressed hope that India would stop oil imports from the South American country.

Pompeo has not disclosed the details of the discussion; however, stated that Venzuela issue is placed on the debate.

He has thanked India for its support to the USA in Iran matter. It is noted that India has curtailed its crude import from the country to appease the USA.
