Yogi’s Remark on Anti-CAA Protesters Sparks Row

Feb. 20/20 – Known for hot remarks Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has again grabbed the headlines for slandering the protesters who are opposing Citizenship Amendment Act (CCA) in the state assembly.

Responding to the opposition’s comments on the death of 24 people in December last year due to anti-CAA protest, the CM stated that if one comes in the intent of death, how can he/she be alive [Agar koi marne ke liye aa raha hai to woh zinda kahan se ho jayega]. He also reiterated the previous claim none died from police firing.

speaking on the motion of thanks to Governor Anandiben Patel after joint address in the legislative assembly and legislative council, Yogi heavily criticized the opposition parties and the protesters who are engaged in violence.

Azaadi slogans were raised by the protesters. They know what kind of ‘azaadi’ they want. They wished to fulfill the Jinnah’s dream on the other hand we are committed to realizing Gandhi’s, he further added.
