Amit Shah Discusses with Kejriwal to Limit Anti-CAA Protest Violence


Feb. 25/20 – Union Home Minister Amit Shah held high level meeting with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to take on violence caused by anti-CAA protesters which claimed seven lives including a Delhi police head constable in the last two days.

To control the situation, the police have imposed Section 144 in the entire North East Delhi till March 24. Dealing with the situation left several police officials get injury of whom nine were admitted to Max Hospital and 16 to the GTB Hospital. 

Besides Kejriwal, Delhi BJP president and North East Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari, Delhi Congress president Subhash Chopra, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, Delhi police commissioner Amulya Patnaik and chief secretary Anil Dev also attended the meeting.

After the meeting, Kejriwal said all political parties and leaders were agreed to work together to bring back normalcy and the Home Minister assured full deployment of police force and also army personnel if needed.
